For the Love of Chick-fil-A

Marc could eat Chick-fil-A every day of the week. No joke. He puts Chick-fil-A gift cards on his Christmas list. He needs an intervention. I took Henry for lunch last Friday and he's just like his daddy. He loved it! We sat at a table in front of the drive-thru lane so he could watch all the cars driving past. Sure enough, he's waving and yelling "Bye!" as they drove by. I spread out his little placemat so he could enjoy his chicken nuggets and fries. I'm eating my chicken sandwich and look up and he is grinning from ear to ear and waving like a maniac. I look outside and it's his friend Olivia's mom. I couldn't believe he recognized her from that far! Or maybe it's because she was waving like a maniac too!

We ventured into the playland area so he could get out and run around before the drive home. I suppressed the urge to wipe my whole body with a mini Purell wipe that Chick-fil-A so graciously provides. These need to be everywhere.

Henry was driving the Chick-fil-A airplane when 2 little brothers walked in. They were probably 8 and 6. They were both really sweet and starting talking to him and showing him how to drive the airplane. Meanwhile, Henry just stares at them and tries to tackle them (as usual, his form of love).

Little Brother asks me, "He's really quiet. Why?"

Me- "He's a baby. He doesn't really know how to talk."

Older Brother- "He's not responding!" This kid has been watching too much Grey's Anatomy.

Henry proceeds to continue hugging and trying to put his patented wrestling move on the older brother. This particular move involves straddling the poor victim's body while shoving his diaper covered butt in their face. I've been violated by this move many times. He'll come at you at a full speed run, knock you down, and then have you pinned down before you even realize what's happening. It's actually quite impressive. Considering this is the first time the move has been performed outside the house and on a stranger, I decide to leave my Ice Dream and intervene.

Older Brother- "Baby, I'm not a jungle gym."

I died laughing. This kid is awesome!

I'm writing this on a Friday night. Marc is playing Glow-ball, Henry is sleeping, and I just finished watching a "Say Yes to the Dress" marathon and eating a Reeses Pieces Easter carrot that I bought for Marc a week ago. I think Kate Gosselin is legitimately insane after watching her "Kate Plus 8" commercials where she's hugging a koala and balling. It's so bizarre. I'm excited about waking up early tomorrow and going to a local neighborhood's garage sale. I had a card game set up with the girl's tonight but they weren't able to make it.

It's official. I'm almost 30. Or 80, give or take.

Love,

Lyndsey
